Movies have always been an amazing window to the outside world for us!! we always get inspired to check out new places by watching our favourite movies. As a 90s kid probably every second song shot in any Tamil movie has been abroad and seeing it we have always dreamt of visiting that destination. I am writing below chronologically about the Top Tamil movies that have given me the travel bug!! share yours in the comments from any language!
Jeans:
This would be in the favourite list of every 90s kid for different reasons starting from of course Aishwarya Rai to a chocolate boy Prashant and a fun and entertaining story that probably defies all logic but that's ok its entertainment that did not hurt any sentiments. Now after growing up apart from the genre and cast of the movie what impresses me the most is the locations!! This was probably the first time that we got to visit the USA virtually through a movie to this extent and visit all the 7 wonders of the world through it's song!! This movie and its songs I am sure inspired quite a few back then to book their tickets, pack their bags and jet off to the USA!!

Vinnai Thandi Varuvaya:
A beautiful love story with amazing music that also gave us major travel goals. I am sure the song Aaromale made us all wish that we took our back packs and our trusted bikes on a long solo trip to Kerala or Omana penne which made us wish we took a long train journey on that side lower birth!! So beautifully composed and shot these songs in every way inspires us to get up from the couch and travel somewhere. Even sitting indoors they would give us major road tripping vibes!!

I:
Yet another Tamil movie shot with a huge budget boasts of amazing performance by Vikram and music by AR Rahman is a film which I personally know Introduced Indians to a part of china Unheard of earlier the Guilin valley. I also remember quite a few customers of mine asking me to make a tour package to the location this movie was shot at. I am sure that the Guilin Valley in China received quite a few tourists from India thanks to this movie.

Atcham Yennbathu Madamaiada:
Who can forget the impact that the song thalli pogathe created even as a tiny bit in the teaser. The protagonist of this movie himself is very passionate about travel and dreams of catching the sunrise in the beautiful town of Kanyakumari driving down in his every trusted RE bike. While Thalli pogathe became the viral hit of this movie, the songs Avalum naanum and Raasali beautifully document their travel journey on the bike across various parts of India inspiring each one of us to follow suit!!

96:
Well every bit of this movie is so beautiful and this turned out to be a film which every one of us who ever went to a co ed school could probably relate to totally. But this movie also turned out to be an absolute favourite just because of the intro song Life of Ram. This song could actually be a wonderful Ad for incredible India. It so stunningly showcases every landscape and the sheer variety this country has got. I am sure if this song does not push you to travel nothing else will.
