All of you following this blog know that we went on a long weekend trip to Jaipur a few months ago, I have written a whole blog about the things we did and the places we went to, Here are a list of places which were on our list but we missed out due to two main reasons, a cranky toddler and a rude driver who refused to do his job.

GALTA JI TEMPLE:

Known to be a highly sacred pilgrimage spot is equally beautiful looking with the temple constructed in the narrow passage of a mountain pass, this temple is well known for its natural springs which perineally flow from the mountains and collect in the few sacred tanks in the temple, There are separate bathing areas for men and women and are pretty well known among the locals. This beautiful looking and equally sacred temple though is not mich known among the tourists who frequent Jaipur. This temple can be easily covered on the way to Amer palace/ fort from Jaipur town. The temple is also known for its notorious monkeys which keep swinging along the walls of the temple, So we recommend not taking food items and keep your belongings very safe.

Jagat Shironmani temple:

yet another stunningly beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Krishna which can be visited along with Amer fort is the Jagat Shironmani Ji temple, This temple is also known as Meera bai temple because Legend has it that the famous poet Saint Meera Bai prayed and sang paises of the very same Krishna Idol in this premises. This temple too though ancient and beautiful looking is not very popular among tourists and its an up and coming attraction in that sense. The Architecture of this temple is a beautiful ensemble of Jain, Rajput, south Indian and even Mughal styles.

THE AMER FORT WALLS:

Next in my list is Amer fort itself but a portion of it which is missed out by most people because of having to walk a long and climb up a series of steep steps. This spot would pobably give you the best sunrise view in entire Jaipur if you can manage to get here on time. You can hang out in the premises of the fort, probably bring along a packed breakfast and have a picnic here while you wait for the fort to open once you have seen this fullfilling sunrise.

THE NAHARGARH FORT:

The Nahargarh fort is also another destination which is catching up among tourists who visit Jaipur, though almost as old as Amer fort, the tourists somehow mostly skip this fort which stands majestically on the edge of the Aravalli hills and used to serve as a retreat for the royal family for relaxation while the kings and the princes went on hunting expedition around the area. Its best to visit this fort in the evenings when you can get a beautiful birds eye view of the entire city of Jaipur and also catch the stunning sunset from here. Did you know this place offers the best sunset view in entire Jaipur?

MAHARANIYON KI CHATRIYAN:

If you read our previous blog you know we visited the Gaitor ki Chatriyan where the Royal family members like the kings, prince, etc where cremated upon death, Just 2 kms away is the Maharaniyon ke Chatriyan, a place where probably the queens and other female members of the royal family were cremated upon death. This too is a pretty less known place among tourists and thus makes for an ideal place for a photoshoot or some time to just sit down and introspect or relax.

ALBERT HALL MUSEUM:

If Museums and history are your thing you should not miss this beautiful museum which looks amazing both Inside and outside. We all know that Museums generally contain a lot of ancient artefacts which are of historical and cultral importance to us what is most popular with the meuseum is its beautiful building and the gate where a flock of pegions can always be found making this a very instagram frindly spot

CHOKI DHANI:

While Jaipur is the Capital of the state of Rajasthan and the Pink city gives you a beautiful insight on the culture and practices of the Rajputs of Rajasthan, the city is also pretty modernized and does not give you the full authentic feel and so you can visit the choki Dhani an ethnic resort which gives you the proper experience of the Rajasthani culture with an authentic Thali meal, cultural show, dance and music.
